THE UNIVERSES

     After his initial cult fame as Dustmuffin & The Aluminum Cans and underground film acting, Dustin Rooney formed The Universes. This Providence-based collective has ended up falling somewhere (and somehow) on a road paved by early Talking Heads and New Wave and intricate bossa-nova rhythms.

    Their first album "B-Sides & Lost Singles 2006-2007" stands as a masterpiece of electronic folk that defies any attempts at timely pigeon-holing.

    The Universes perform often in the Providence area. Probably tonight.
