LES PARADISIERS
Les Paradisiers
are the comingling of Demian (the man behind Mediterranean folk/cabaret
act Ô Paradis) and Thomas Nöla. The union came about after
the two met while performing at a festival in Leipzig, Germany in 2007.
Later that year, they performed together for the first time in
Barcelona's Cafè-Teatre Llantiol and decided to work on a
project together.
The resulting album, 2009's "More Tales From the
Garden" resulted in a collection of "modern exotica" concerning the
question of paradise, and marked a bit poppier, more accessible sound
than their previous solo releases. The duo held a mini-tour of the
United States in early 2010, playing in Cambridge, MA's The Lily Pad
and Philadelphia's Germ Books & Gallery.
2010's follow-up "Bazaar Creatures" will explore the
deserts and souks of Arabia.
